Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECT)

Haltech HT-010300 Coolant Temperature Sensor Summary

Haltech (HT-010300) Coolant Sensor Summary

For the ECT sensor, I decided to replace the sensor with a Haltech HT-010300. This sensor matches the threads on the OEM housing and voltage documentation is available for it. Using the OEM sensor is possible, you would just need to determine the resistance curve/line for the OEM sensor and input those values into FT Manager for the ECT input.

Mounting the ECT Sensor

The threads on the OEM sensor are M12x1.5. These are the same threads as on the Haltech HT-010300. Mount the sensor in the OEM thermostat housing.

Wiring Diagram

The Haltech HT-010300 sensor uses a Delphi 2 Pin GM style Coolant Temp Connector with the following pinout: A - Signal Ground, B - Signal. Wiring these sensors is straightforward; refer to the Haltech manual for additional details if needed. You can use any available white input. Note: connect the housing ground wire as normal. This grounds the thermostat housing and should not be excluded.
